Getting Around:

Positano is an excellent base from which to visit the Amalfi and Sorrento Coasts, the Ruins of Pompei and Herculaneum (Ercolano), Vesuvius volcano and the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida.

Although Positano is a seaside destination, the hills overlooking the town offer some great walks with spectacular views of the coast. Trail of the Gods (Il Sentiero degli Dei) leading from Nocelle to Agerola towards Amalfi is one of these.
